Kingston, ON’s @kasadorband is one of Canada’s hardest-working, road-weary rock bands. With an influence that pulls from grunge and hard rock, Kasador constantly plays coast to coast, continuing a fervent lineage of those who hail from the Great White North. Like The Tragically Hip, The Constantines, and The Glorious Sons before them, Kasador continues to disprove the myth that Canada is “un-tourable,” and if there’s a dot on a map with a word beside it, Kasador will play a show there.
“Everyone has difficult emotions and struggles, but finding the strength to be vulnerable and forthcoming about personal struggles can be so, so difficult,” says Kasador bandleader Cameron Wyatt. “You’ll find yourself in beautiful and unexpected places when you give yourself total creative freedom. The quicker you can figure out the identity of a song and what makes it special and then commit to serving that, the better.”
Their brand new self-titled EP follows up the success of their debut record ‘Youth’ with five excellent songs, and lead single ‘Butterflies’ is quickly becoming the springtime Canadian anthem for 2025. Who better than Canadian bands, devoted to touring every mile of their vast expansive country, to chronicle the experience of being Canadian at such a tumultuous and unpredictable moment in Canadian history? With their strongest and most confident work to date, Kasador embraces the creative freedom Wyatt references, allowing their personalities to shine through their music in its purest form.
